At Bank PHB he work in the bank's expansion division and was instrumental in the Uganda acquisition, which culminated with the takeover of Oriental Bank, Uganda.
He also headed the bank's Tanzanian expansion project which was cut short once Bank PHB was nationalised, leading his employment at Orient Bank as Head of Liabilities, Retail.
Having worked in the business development field in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Tanzania he has vast experience in the East African regional market as well as the cultural dynamics of business.
